Gold Coast 28.9.2016:

"With a career now spanning over 50 years of performing, it’s “one more time for Suzi” as she returns in February 2017 for a national tour starting on the Gold Coast on February 3 and finishing in Darwin on March 4.

“Well…..what can I say….eh!  Australia.   You’re in my bones, you’re in my blood, I was born to entertain, I had to come back – I missed you too much,” Suzi said on the announcement of the tour.

With 31 Australian tours under her belt, for this tour, Suzi will bring Andy Scott from THE SWEET on guitar and vocals and Don Powell from SLADE on drums.   They will perform as “QSP” for the opening act. The trio have recorded an album “QSP” which will be released in January.  Suzi will have an eight-piece band, performing the hit programme for the second half of the show, in her leather jumpsuit of course.
...
Between 1973 and 1980 Suzi Quatro featured in the British charts for 101 weeks and to date sold over 55 million records including hits, “48 Crash”, “Too Big”, “Devil Gate Drive”, “Daytona Demon”, “The Wild One”, “She’s In Love With You”, “Rock Hard” and her duet with Chris Norman, “Stumblin’ In”.
...
The tour is presented by Duet Productions and Sony Music Entertainment Australia. Denis Handlin AM, Chairman & CEO Sony Music Entertainment Australia & New Zealand and President of Asia said, “I have always been a big fan of Suzi’s amazing career and we are delighted to partner with Duet Productions for Suzi’s forthcoming Australian tour, “Leather Forever”. It will be great to see her perform in Australia again.  We are also excited to be releasing Suzi’s new album “QSP” with legendary performers Andy Scott (The Sweet) and Don Powell (Slade) and we are really looking forward to them performing on the tour with Suzi”."

Powell i ny supergruppe

Midtjyllands Avis/Af Michael Tversted Lundsgaard 5.-6.9.2016:

Her har Slade-...

Interview: Shake It Up Baby writer Suzan Holder

My Theatre Mates 17.9.2016:

"Suzan Holder is the writer of Shake It Up Baby, one of the plays in this year’s Ticket To Write festival coming to the Unity next week. The festival’s artistic director Francesca Goodridge and producer Max Emmerson are both up-and-coming talents to watch, since their acclaimed revival of Shout: The Mod Musical made it from LIPA, to the Edinburgh Fringe, then on to the Royal Court earlier this year. The shows take place this Friday and Saturday (September 23 and 24).

Suzan is a writer and children’s theatre practitioner with a background in stage and TV production for such well-known names including Brendan O’Carroll’s Mrs Brown and ITV’s Loose Women. She is married to Slade frontman Noddy Holder and lives in Cheshire – and here she answered us a few questions about the new show and her passion for theatre:
...
Of course, you have some real life first-hand links to the Beatles through your husband, if you don’t mind a question about Noddy. Have his stories inspired your writing?

Nod has immense knowledge and experience of the music industry. He was a Beatles fan right at the start of their career, he played the Hamburg scene – just like the Beatles had before and he has known all of the Beatles at one time or another, so yes, he is a mine of brilliant information. He’s the first person I always ask to read my scripts, and he’s not afraid to tell me if he thinks I’ve got something wrong."

Jim Lea, Bass Guitarist October 2016

Jim Lea interview (by Ken Sharp) in the October issue of the Bass Guitarist: "Glam rock bass? Here's the man who pretty much invented it."

"We complement this with frank chats to Taka Hirose of the rock trio Feeder, Jim Lea of glam-rockers Slade, Buzz Osborne of the unclassifiable mavericks the Melvins and many other bassists of the unsociably loud persuasion."

Dave in Kelbra 2.9.2016

Mit dem Geist der 70er auf der Bühne

Dave Hill interview in German Nordwest Zeitung 20.8.2016:

Songs wie „Far far away“, „My oh my“, „Skweeze me pleeze me“, „Cum on feel the noiz“ oder „Merry X-Mas everybody“ sorgten für weltweiten Ruhm.

...

Hill: Unsere Shows sind alle durchgeknallt. Mit einem unserer größten Hits könnte man sagen: „Mama, we’re all crazee gigs“!

Frage: Was können Ihre Fans am 3. September in Oldenburg erwarten?

Hill: Die Hits, die sie lieben. Eine coole Show.

Slade-trommeslager nyder livet i Midtjylland

Herning Folkeblad:
